While the USA and Europe are enjoying their winter holidays, people in the land Down Under are slowly preparing for hot days. Unlike everyone born in January on the territory of the USA and Europe, Australians can, in fact, organize an amazingly interesting summer birthday party in January. But this fact is not enough – many of you probably have no idea what kind of a summer birthday party to organize. We are here to make that task easier for you as we will try and come up with five very original and interesting choices. And if you’re waiting June for summer and your birthday – bookmark this page and read it again come summer in your country!
Perhaps not the most original but definitely one of the most interesting options is to host a poolside party, if you are lucky enough to own a pool, though. Of course, there is always an option of renting a space with a pool, but be that as it may, what are the things that you need to have if you want to have a killer poolside party? First of all, apart from the bar and the great buffet that you will either order or make, make sure to have enough floats for the swimming pool (if you choose unique ones such as flamingos, swans or donuts even better), balls and most importantly – great party music!
This would probably not cross your mind at all, but going to a winery to celebrate your birthday might be a great idea. First of all, Australia is famous for its wineries, and it would be a shame not to check a great one if you have the option. Invite the most important people in your life and take them to a wine tasting – this is very original and it’s always much fun. Once there, talk and chat over a glass of good Grappa, try some finger food once there and take plenty of photos. It will definitely be a birthday that you will remember for the rest of your life.
The perfect weekend getaway
Weekend getaways are always great, regardless of the fact that it’s someone’s birthday or not. Choose a nearby town or a city and book a night or two there – is there anything more promising than spending your birthday with the people you love in an unknown city? Allocate one day to see what this place has to offer, learn something more of its history and the people living there, and save the nights for partying at some of the best clubs there.
What about a cruise?
This is definitely something that you need to plan in advance, but why not have it here as an option for your next birthday? If you have the possibility of taking a week or two off, you can always consider having your birthday party on a cruise ship. If you opt for this step, you don’t need to have a lot of people by your side – simply take the most important person in your life (be it a husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, mom, dad, sister) and simply enjoy while cruising.
Shout it from the rooftops
Drinking on a patio or a rooftop is always more interesting than hosting an indoor birthday party, so you might have this in mind next time you’re organizing a birthday party. The first option would be to book a venue that has a rooftop garden and host your big birthday party there, or simply book a table and invite a couple of friends to join you in sipping cocktails on the rooftop. Of course, there’s always the possibility of hosting this party on your own rooftop (if you have the chance), but make sure that you choose the appropriate weather and time of day. It’s always extremely memorable to host a rooftop birthday party during sunset!
As you can see, there is a plethora of choices for you to choose from, but opting for one of these might just do the trick. You will have tons of photographs to remember this birthday by, but most importantly, you will also have some exquisite memories.
